  • My Role: Senior Marketing Manager, Mitchell International.
  • The Project: E-Commerce Business Case & Software Implementation.
  • Project Objective: Scoped the business use case for an e-commerce system integration plan.
  • SCOPING STRATEGY: Led the strategic and tactical planning for a scalable, automated product sales platform for faster revenue generation and growth while decreasing operational expenses. Collaborated with the Senior Leadership, Sales, Service, Product, IT and Operations teams to develop and promote a self-service revenue model.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Identified the best software solution w/features, functionality, system integration, time to market, cost (selected NetSuite’s SuiteCommerce Advanced software).
    • Researched and developed a Phased Approach Plan to implement e-commerce (converting easiest to hardest product sales process into the e-commerce platform).
    • Sought and obtained buy-in of our initial plan from our EBS and IT management teams.
    • Learned existing back office processes, to enhance order processing business logic for e-commerce sales.
    • Learned product pricing dependencies and system for ways to incorporate into the new e-commerce site.
    • Engaged with and negotiated the SOW with NetSuite’s Professional Services team for SuiteCommerce Advanced software.
    • Engaged with PM team for specific product attributes, complexities for e-commerce sales and product provisioning.
    • Engaged with our Creative Services team to develop the e-commerce store design, look and feel.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Presented the e-commerce plan to over 12 stakeholder teams for transparency, feedback, buy-in.
    • Progressed to being actively ready to begin integrating the E-Commerce Store with Mitchell’s NetSuite platform.
  • Deliverables: Created a full business case around e-commerce integration for Mitchell, including:
    • Phases I, II & III – Cost and Revenue Calculations and Projections.
    • Phases I, II & III – Timelines.
    • Product Provisioning Effort – Scoping.
    • Revenue Projections – Details.
    • Revenue Projections – Assumptions.
    • ROI Projections.
    • Soft Benefit: Labor Savings Calculation.
    • Ecommerce Store Maintenance and Management Plan.
    • Visual Workflows for three types of product publications to be in use at launch.
    • Identified a product-specific Shopping Cart Abandonment Program.

COMPLETION:

Successfully presented the Senior Leadership team with a management-approved SOW for integrating a B2B e-commerce software with the company’s Enterprise Business System (NetSuite).

The SOW included cost and savings estimates and the required steps to develop and promote a self-service revenue model for over 20 SaaS products, along with cart abandonment programs for remarketing and improved customer retention.
